Writing blog entries isn't always enjoyable, let's face it.
On some days, I would sit for hours attempting to decide where to begin. I knew what I wanted to say, but getting it out? That was the hard part. Then I found a few AI tools, and things changed a lot faster than I expected.
I’m not saying AI writes everything
for me. Not even close. But it gave me just enough help to stay on track—and
cut my writing time in half. Here’s what worked for me.
Starting
a Blog Post Got Way Easier
Before using AI, I’d sometimes stare
at a blank screen for 30 minutes. The first sentence always felt like the
biggest wall. Now, when I’m stuck, I open up an AI tool (I’ve tried a few),
toss in a rough idea, and it gives me a few lines or an outline to play with.
Sometimes I keep it. Sometimes I
rewrite it completely. But even when I don’t use it word-for-word, it gets the
ideas flowing. That’s the real value right there.
It
Helped Me Organize My Thoughts
I’m the kind of person who jumps
from thought to thought while writing. It used to show in my posts—they felt a
bit all over the place. But now, I ask the AI to help build a simple structure.
Like: intro, key points, tips, conclusion. Nothing fancy. Just clear.
This structure keeps things readable
and saves me time editing later. Plus, readers seem to stay on the page longer
now. That’s always a win.
Faster
Doesn’t Mean Lower Quality
Even though I still write everything
by hand, I use AI for minor tasks like grammar correction, better phrase
suggestions, and transitional smoothness.
It's similar to having an insatiably alert second pair of eyes.
Additionally, I've been using Perplexity AI
and other similar tools for quick research.
I don't have to open ten tabs to fact-check a single line because it
provides concise, understandable responses with references.
And when it comes to quick research,
I’ve been using tools like Perplexity AI. It gives short, clear answers with
sources, which saves me from opening 10 tabs just to fact-check one sentence.
Final
Thoughts (And a Personal Tip)
If you’ve been blogging for a while
and feel stuck or just slow, try using AI as a helper—not a writer. Let it
guide you when you’re blocked, help outline ideas, or polish your draft. But
keep your voice. That’s what makes your blog yours.
One more thing—if you’re curious
about which tools I’ve found helpful, I’ve actually put together a little
collection of the best ones.
